		<description>Scarves,

I&#039;m actually spinning on and off this morning, sitting with my very old technology (Kromski Minstrel spinning wheel) and very new technology (Asus Eee PC) both within easy reach, moving back and forth.

Spinning feels a bit more of a winter-y activity, in a way, and I have also made some really poor roving purchases that frustrate me and send me off to do something (anything!) other than knit rather sooner than I would like.

<description>It&#039;s one of my favorite yarns I&#039;ve ever used! I love the colors, and the little colored threads that were spun into it. I&#039;m going to try that with some handspun of my own.
Do you think maybe I was dropped on my head as a baby and that&#039;s why I like such ugly yarn?
And how can you not like Nag Champa? That is one of my favorite smells in the world. Reminds me of friends, college, hanging out and comfort.

Head injuredly yours,

		<description>Scarves,

That is the most singularly hideous yarn I have ever seen. I do not know how you managed to knit it for more than ten minutes without passing out or losing your lunch.

But at least it&#039;s clearly handspun; there&#039;s merit in that.

I bet the yarn smells of Nag Champa (which I actually think smells awful), as does a beautiful red and gold ball of handspun the same friend gave me not so long ago.

With love and bemusement,

		<description>Scarves,

Clearly, she is a sweater zombie out to get you and that is why her face is cut off.

And no, I didn&#039;t do that -- it&#039;s the way the pic is online. Mercifully, in the book at least, they included her face.

I want to make the double-helix scarf for a friend of mine&#039;s Mom who does AIDS research. Perfect, no?

<description>I love the double-helix scarf. That sweater picture kind of freaks me out, was it originally cropped to cut her face off, or did you do that? The sweater is all fine and dandy, it&#039;s the model that scares me.</description>
